Now Microsoft Teams video chats can have custom backgrounds too – Engadget

One of the great features of Zoom is the capability to change backgrounds. You can use any image you desire to cover the laundry piling up behind you, for circumstances, or to ensure your personal privacy in calls with officemateses you don’t actually understand. Now that the majority of people are relying on video calling platforms while working for house, Microsoft has rolled out a Teams upgrade that also offers it the ability to alter your background environment. While you can’t submit your own image yet like you can with Zoom– Microsoft promises to release that function later on

— you can select from several backgrounds provided by the collaboration platform. The tech huge describes that the ability builds upon background blur that uses AI to blur the environment behind you.
