The city now has more than 10,000 deaths. In a brand-new count released Tuesday, 3,778 more deaths were added to the rolls– driving up the formerly recorded overall of 6,589 by more than half. The most current statistics consist of probable coronavirus deaths through Monday. And even the new statistics might downplay the death toll. Among possible coronavirus deaths, 60 percent took place in health centers, 22 percent in the victim’s house and 18 percent in nursing houses or long-term care centers.
