Sonic the Hedgehog”is getting a sequel. Paramount Images and Sega Sammy confirmed on Thursday that they have begun advancement on a follow up to the live-action family comedy. The follow up would reteam the filmmakers, with Jeff Fowler directing, and Pat Casey and Josh Miller composing the script.

The motion picture is still in the development stage so choices have not been made yet concerning casting or a production start date.
