Astronauts are spending Fathers Day in space watching the solar eclipse – CNN

For a couple of astronaut papas spending Father’s Day far from their households, the event is occurring numerous miles far from Earth. This year it doesn’t include cards or gifts– but some crazy views.

The

annular eclipse started at 12:47 a.m. ET on June 21 and crossed

a skinny course that began in Africa and ultimately relocated to China prior to ending at sundown over the Pacific Ocean. CNN’s Ashley Strickland contributed to this report.
