I do not yearn for the old “Perry Mason” since it implies as much to me as most series of that period which is to say, not much. Taking in “Perry Mason” also exposes what a TELEVISION series looks like when the stage itself is a performance. To those who understand the title, “Perry Mason” is unexpected.
