The shooting occurred around 5:30 p.m. when 3 people walked up to another group of individuals in an alley in Chicago’s Little Village area on the southwest side. Assistant state’s attorney Jack Ruggiero told the court the kid and numerous others, at least one of whom was using a mask, went out that day “trying to find trouble” and trying to find a Latin King (member of a Hispanic Chicago street gang). The shooting occurred near to the border dividing rival street gangs.
When they found the 32-year-old man on the other side of the alley as the little girl, among them first tried to shake his hand. They notified him they were Gangster Two-Six members and after that chased him, yelling “Two-six!” and “King Killa!” prior to the suspect fired seven times, hitting the kid and the guy.
After the shooting, the young boy ran away down another alley. The group listened to an authorities scanner and learned the little girl was shot. According to Ruggiero, the young boy “urinated on his hands” after learning about the woman to attempt to get the gunpowder off his hands. The kid informed members of his group to “hide the jacket” he was using.
Ruggiero stated police found the weapon used in the attack after witnesses heard the boy say he tossed the gun in a street near trash bin and a school prior to he ran away. Video security taped him hiding the gun there.
The suspect was arrested around 1:30 a.m. Friday.
“He changed (the street) into a real-life scary motion picture,” Ruggiero stated. “He showed total neglect for human life,” when he fired a weapon 7 times, Ruggiero included.

“This small didn’t appreciate the 7-year-old woman,”Ruggiero stated. He “involved himself”in a gang dispute.
The young boy’s defense attorney John Miraglia stated in court the kid “absolutely” denies the charges. He said the boy has no “publishable” background and stated his parents are “great individuals.” His mom and stepfather appeared in court however provided no comment.
The kid spoke quietly throughout the hearing, mainly providing the judge yes or no answers. As Judge Rosado read the charges, he said “I have a question,” but the judge did not allow him to elaborate. The young boy twisted around to look at his mother, who nodded several times at him as he was reclaimed into custody.
Relative of the girl who was shot hoped outside Stroger medical facility, where she was being looked after, Thursday night. “The family of the 7-year-old girl who was shot in Little Village is grateful for the outpouring of love and support shown by all of Chicago and the nation. She stays in major condition. At this time, the family is requesting personal privacy,” a Cook County health department declaration said.

Regional resident Jose Vazquez informed the Sun-Times the scene of the attack has been a hotbed for violence. “That alley is crazy,” he stated.
Cops said the man and the girl were not together and have no relationship. They stated the male shot was not the intended target, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. The teenager, whose name was not released since he is a juvenile, faces 2 counts of attempted first-degree murder and 2 counts of exacerbated battery through discharge of a gun, according to a Friday release by Chicago authorities. Judge Joanne Rosado likewise informed him he is charged with two counts of worsened illegal usage of a weapon, according to the Chicago Tribune.
